It is Out of This World, Spooky, and Passes through Other Dimensions: Is it also a Portal to the Spiritual?

Einstein was spooked

Entanglement occurs outside of space-time and Einstein declared it “spooky.” This phenomenon—the instant communication between quantum particles such as elections and photons—has been demonstrated by numerous laboratories. Now the prestigious scientific journal, Nature, reports that photons 18 kilometers apart communicated instantly (or at least 10,000 times faster than the speed of light)! If these quantum entities communicate outside of space-time are they doing so via other dimensions? Entanglement has been called God-like and linked to the secret of life. Brian Joesphson, Nobel Laureate in physics, postulated that it might explain telepathy. Scientists have suggested entanglement to explain brain function and near-death experiences.

Are we all entangled?

The leading theories on the origin of the universe have all quantum particles created from a Big Bang so are they still all entangled? David Bohm, a world-class physicist, stated: “…the concepts of relativity theory and quantum theory directly contradict each other…[needed is a] new theory…the best place to begin is what they have basically in common. This is undivided wholeness.” In other words, we are one with each other and we are one with the universe—a concept consistent with many religions and spiritual teachings. The Brahman of the Hindus is the cosmic web of the interconnected universe. Mahayana Buddhism’s Avaatamsaka Sutra describes the world as a network of mutual relations in which all events and things interact with each other in an infinitely complex manner.

The power of spookiness

But what is the practical utility of entanglement? The potential utility of entangled photons is awesome—scientists are beginning to create quantum computers which someday may be capable of calculations impossible on conventional computers. Entanglement spawns suggestions from physicists that information passes through hidden variables, other dimensions, or other universes. These are startling possibilities. Can action on one quantum particle be “felt” by all the others in the universe? If so, one might regard the universe as alive.

Bridging the gap between science and spirituality

I have written earlier how scientists believe that 96% of our world is missing dark matter and dark energy, that there might be seven other dimensions, and that there might be an infinite number of hidden universes out there. The entangled photons reported above not only traveled 18 kilometers near Geneva Switzerland but also may have visited other dimensions and worlds to circumvent our universe’s speed limit—the speed of light. In the coming years you will hear more of high-energy particles experiments which validate or vanquish scientific theories, string theory invoking other dimensions, and parallel universes housing other versions of yourself, but keep in mind that all of these seemingly fantastic notions could simply be metaphors to explain spiritual reality.
