Most people are unaware of the problematical features of the Big Bang. Indeed, most scientists accept this version of the creation of the universe without understanding the troubling imbedded issues. The alternate theories of creation are consistent with ancient spiritual teachings and may solve the problems presented by the Big Bang theory.

Have we lost the big picture?

One hope one dream. But what is the hope? And what is the Dream? After following the impressive opening ceremony at the Beijing Olympics, I wonder how many would say the hope was to market China with glitz and the dream was to convince the world of China”s magnificence. What should the hope and dream be?

China and the Dalai Lama

Hu Jintao, the President of China, demanded that the Dalai Lama not catalyze violence or disrupt the Olympic Games. As billions of people absorb the games 2,784 years after the first Olympics, what should be our expectations for this spectacle? Will the world move towards peace, harmony, and unity? Will we witness violence and repression? For those of us interested in science and spirituality, what gems of wisdom can the participants impart to political leaders?

Water: Essential for life as we know it

On July 31, 2008 NASA proclaimed that water was discovered and scientifically verified on Mars. The splash from the NASA announcement was that the Phoenix Lander melted the “white stuff” found on the pole of Mars and the analysis confirmed the finding of water. Where there’s water is there life? Certainly on Earth that is the case. Life has been found in thermal ocean vents with temperatures and pressures that could cook surface life in seconds, in hot springs, in frozen ice, and deep underground, Since Mars and the Earth exchanged meteorites shortly after their birth, is the discovery of life on Mars more probable? Yes.
